Crows Feet
Bunny lines
Bunny lines are wrinkles on either side of the nose that appear when you scrunch your nose like a bunny would do when it sees a carrot. Bunny lines, or nose lines, are wrinkles that appear on the side of the nose. As people age, their skin loses elasticity, and collagen growth slows.
Tear Troughts
These are wrinkles that appear under the eye and above the cheek. Tear troughs can cause dark circles under the eyes. They appear as we age due to gravity taking effect, and we lose facial volume.

What sets Botox apart from Dysport?
BOTOX and Dysport are both neurotoxins derived from botulinum toxin A, and they work in very similar ways. However, they are produced by different manufacturers and have slightly different formulations. We’ll work with you to recommend the best option.
These drugs work by blocking specific facial nerves that control muscle movement. When BOTOX or Dysport is injected, the muscles become slightly weakened. The result is fewer distinct wrinkles and the prevention of wrinkles from deepening further. There are many misconceptions about BOTOX®, including the idea that the drug is toxic or that the muscles in the face are severely affected. However, when administered by a licensed professional, BOTOX® creates beautiful results, and the doses are so minuscule that the drug cannot be traced in the bloodstream.

Creating A Botox Treatment Plan
Developing a Botox treatment plan is strongly advised for maintaining a youthful appearance. Remember, Botox effects are not permanent, so regular injections are needed to keep your skin smooth and wrinkle-free.
We need to have an initial discussion to create the right Botox treatment plan for you:
Your Needs
When creating a treatment plan, start by identifying where you need injections. Do you have issues with crow’s feet, vertical lines between the brows, or horizontal lines on the forehead? Do you need Botox for other reasons, like migraines or excessive sweating? Knowing your Botox needs is crucial for us to develop a personalized and effective treatment plan.
Medications, Surgeries, Pregnancies
Also, discuss any upcoming surgeries, such as facial surgery, with us. Inform us about any new medications you will be starting and if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. These factors can delay your next Botox injections, especially surgeries and pregnancy. For example, if you are pregnant, it’s best to wait until after you finish breastfeeding to resume Botox treatments. Botox is currently not recommended for pregnant or nursing women as a precaution.
Frequency of Injections
The frequency of your injections depends on how well your body responds to Botox, as everyone reacts differently. Other factors, like smoking or poor skin care, also affect how often you need injections. Regular Botox injections are important to maintain your appearance, but too many can weaken the muscles and make Botox ineffective. Your dermatologist will help you determine the right schedule for your needs.
FDA studies showed that 98% of patients treated with Restylane Silk reported meaningful improvement in lip wrinkles. There is no downtime, and the procedure takes approximately 30 minutes. 75% of patients still reported improvement 6 months after the injection.
Vertical lines, nasolabial folds, mouth frown lines, and mental crease lines are all called smile lines.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Dysport Last Longer than Botox?
Several studies have shown which of these three products lasts longer, kicks in sooner, etc. Of course, each company wants to claim their product is in some way superior to the others. There may be a minor advantage for Dysport kicking in quicker, but Botox probably lasts longer. A skilled injector should be comfortable using each of these products.
How do I Maximize the Duration of Botox or Dysport Injections?
The longevity of results is determined by the amount of product used, but at a certain point, additional Botox doesn’t yield an advantage. Only experienced providers understand this number, which varies quite a bit from patient to patient. Building longevity is achieved through routine injections, returning for the next treatment before the effects dissipate. In other words, if you return for treatment before the benefits have gone away, you will notice the effects last longer and longer over time.
Are Dysport or Xeomin Cheaper than Botox?
The majority of your results and the cost of treatment come from who injects you, not which of these products is utilized. The costs of all these agents are similar if an injector uses the products properly. 2.5 units of Dysport are roughly equivalent to 1 unit each of Xeomin and Botox, so the price-per-unit is less expensive for Dysport, but you need 2.5 times more Dysport to achieve the same results as Botox.
You can enroll in additional savings programs for Dysport and Botox at our practice.
What are the Most Side Effects of these Injections of Dysport, Xeomin and Botox?
Unfortunately, many inexperienced injectors are out there, causing many completely avoidable complications. These include frozen faces, odd-looking brows, a startled appearance, and more. Unfortunately, we spend much time fixing others’ poor outcomes.
A desirable provider will discuss not only what types of results you can achieve but also what is being done to avoid any issues. The process of having Botox should include a discussion of goals and a well-thought-out plan. There is an art to this process, and experience is necessary to create a masterpiece.
Will there be Downtime?
No, Botox and Dysport injections should be very comfortable and not require downtime. We ask our patients to refrain from rubbing the area or exercising for 90 minutes afterward, and using ice on the area should be avoided. Patients immediately sense the experience of our physicians the first time they are injected here. How a patient is positioned, using the tiniest available needles, proper technique, and a gentle touch is a big part of a great experience.
